The issue that they used to face is that the container image size was greater than 950 MB which leads to hike in the storage capacity and increase in the data transfer cost. Even the total time required for the creation of the test environment was considerably higher which causes delay in releases as well. We had cater to all these problems of #scaling the environment while the #security issues were not hampered on.
THE SOLUTION
CloudifyOps had a detailed study on the customer requirements and designed the right solution and configuration that could help them with the seamless functioning of their application to overcome the challenges. The solutions offered where:
- Modularization of components into individual docker files as it reduces the cost of storage.
- Utilization of Docker compose for the deployment of the components on an instance through the utilization of scripts such that the communication channel is set up between each component.
