Our customer is an end-to-end banking solution provider with digital lending and automation solutions that enable a bank to increase transparency, efficiency, and profitability while ensuring compliance. Their solutions will help banks and financial institutions create differentiation in their offerings and gain unmatched speed in marketing their product and services.
The customer’s legacy applications were hosted on a cloud environment with multiple AWS EC2 instances. Limitations in their existing infrastructure meant they couldn’t maintain a high availability of their applications. For the customer’s end users (banks and financial institutions), this led to disruptions in their services. Some of their applications were open-source and hosted on the same AWS EC2 instances. This further complicated managing and efficiently scaling the cloud infrastructure. The customer team was keen to have a long-term solution to these issues.
The CloudifyOps team comprehensively reviewed the customer’s infrastructure to propose a migration strategy. We recommended migrating their applications to Docker for a microservices architecture and Kubernetes, a more scaleable and manageable platform for our customer’s requirements. Our team built Dockerfiles from scratch and deployed the applications to Kubernetes. We ensured better tolerance and scalability for each application by deploying them to separate containers.
Migrating the applications to Docker containers enabled, our customer’s teams to build each application independently. This significant change provided them with greater flexibility and ease of management. It took them 60 to 75% less time to create new environments using Docker containers compared to the earlier manual process. Rapid provisioning of new environments led to an accelerated development and deployment process. The CloudifyOps solution boosted the productivity and efficiency of our customer’s teams tremendously.
