Our customer is a leading watch manufacturer with large factories to assemble watch components. The factories have multiple machinery operated with the least amount of human intervention. The customer wanted a solution to notify production engineers about machine malfunction or failure.

THE CHALLENGE |

Inefficient manual checks: The equipment monitoring process involved technicians continuously checking the assembly line machine for issues, which was time-consuming and inefficient.

Service disruption due to machine shut down: In most cases, equipment had to be shut down for unplanned inspection leading to disruption in production cycles. This led to operational inefficiencies when several machines needed inspection. Some equipment, like automatic bar feeders, required more time and effort for inspection if the machine had shut down due to feed failure.
