About yourself

Tell us about your educational background and previous experiences.

I have completed my Master’s in Computer Applications. Before joining CloudifyOps, I was the Technical Manager at Altisource Pvt. Ltd. and Manager of Software QA Engineering with RSA Aveksa.

How did you hear about CloudifyOps and what interested you in joining us?

I knew our CEO Vaitheeswaran from my time with Altisource. He spoke to me about CloudifyOps and the scope of work involved. I had not worked with a young start-up company till then and I knew I wanted this opportunity to challenge myself.

About your profession

What do you love most about the Cloud and DevOps field?

In my opinion, Cloud and DevOps are different genres and can survive separately. At CloudifyOps, we bring the two together to help achieve business goals for our customers. This is what I love about Cloud & DevOps, this amalgamation of technology and culture that grows every day.

What is on your wish list for the next 12 months at CloudifyOps?

I would like to create a new line of technical expertise for our client account that sets a benchmark and provides value to the client.

How do you motivate yourself to do the best for yourself and the organization?

My best qualities include being innately ambitious and persistent. I take pride when someone looks up to me and is confident that I will get the work done. This constantly pushes me to do more for the organization. I also need to be the best I can be because my team is looking up to me and I have to stand by them.

How have you grown professionally while on our team?

I can now look at situations or issues from different perspectives, be it from HR, sales, technology, or business aspects. I have never had this experience before. I also learned that I need to get into coding and fixing errors to better understand if the solution I am building is good or relevant to the customer’s requirements. I will always appreciate the leadership team for encouraging this growth in me.

How has CloudifyOps helped you develop yourself personally (soft skills)?

The leadership team at CloudifyOps, be it our Founder & CTO Sushanth, CEO Vaithee, or our Director of Operations Sarada are available for guidance on how I can handle challenges at work. I am able to cast a vision for my team, manage negotiation and conflict resolution, and most importantly, enable the team to speak for themselves.

What kinds of resources have you taken advantage of while on our team?

Being connected with the leadership team has given me access to understanding and learning the nuances of running a profitable business.

What have been your biggest accomplishments on our team? Where have you made the biggest impact?

My biggest accomplishment has been to lead and manage one of the largest accounts in CloudifyOps with zero delivery escalations. I am proud of the impact I have had on the account and my contribution to its tremendous growth in a year.

What was the most fun moment with the team?

Dinner parties in 2022 with the entire team from the client and CloudifyOps, which helped me know the client and my team better!

Upskilling and Certifications

What is the one thing you learned in the last month related to your work?

I recently learned about Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques from Tony Robbins. These are action-oriented techniques I can use in my conversations with my team, my leaders, and my client teams. This focuses on building a growth mindset and being successful in life.

What do you like about the learning/training initiatives at CloudifyOps?

Our training programs work as enablers not only for freshers joining us but also for existing team members. The training helps them accomplish a goal that may be lost in their day-to-day tasks. This is not just to add to your resume and make your technical capability known to your clients but also will be beneficial to your career.

What certification are you preparing for now? Or what was the most recent certification you obtained?

I recently completed the Certified Scrum Product Owners course. I also completed the PowerBI for Beginners course on Udemy.

Culture at CloudifyOps

What are three words you would use to describe CloudifyOps?

Invigorating, approachable, and rational.

What has your experience been with our company culture?

I have been here for more than 6 years now and I still feel like a 5-year-old in Lego Empire with access to amazing stuff out there.

  • New technologies to explore, learn and build processes around.
  • A very good mix of clientele from various industries and sizes to enhance your domain knowledge
  • The team is young and vibrant. Change is always welcomed.
  • The leadership team supports transparency and has “open-door policy” days quite often.

My tips to grow in CloudifyOps would be to “Get your basics right” and “Communicate your thoughts/issues”.

How would you describe your team?

Dependable, accommodative, and aligned with goals.

What are some things you have noticed about our leadership team?

They are truly empathetic and not just on a superficial level. The emotional connection that they have with the team is amazing and welcoming. Our people have freedom of speech to bring up issues and share their thoughts and solutions.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to enter this field?

Cloud & DevOps are not just technologies that you learn. They represent a mindset change, a culture or a way of working that is important for businesses to adopt if they wish to succeed. Once you learn about Cloud & DevOps, you must work on projects so that you can understand the nuances better and know what goes into implementing them.
